The Unified Independent Vote
There are a lot of Ron Paul supporters that are left without a candidate to vote for this November. A lot of people think you can just write Paul in, well you can’t in most state (if any). Instead look into other candidates besides the Dems and the GOP. Nader is running (when isn’t he) and so is Chuck Baldwin, Bob Barr and Cynthia McKinney.
What I’d like to do is get as many people as possible that are frustrated with the ‘lesser of two evils’ voting practices to debate on the best independent candidate and then make a pact to vote for that candidate come November in one great unified independent vote.
Please spread this post if you are not planning on voting for Obama or McCain. Post your favored independent candidate and why as a comment on this blog. Come back November 4th before you vote and see who is in the lead. Let’s all vote for whoever is most posted come November and unite to for a change in our broken election system.

I’ll start I suppose. I have always like Nader and I voted for him in 2000. I voted for Kerry in 2004 just for the sake of hoping we would get the evilest of evils for 8 years straight. I’m personally not to knowledgeable of McKinney or Barr. I like a lot of Chuck Baldwin’s ideas, but am personally put off by his potential belief/backing of a 9/11 Truth movement. I’m somewhere between Nader and Baldwin.

Although human beings are incapable of talking about themselves with total honesty, it is much harder to avoid the truth while pretending to be other people. They often reveal much more about themselves in a very straight forward way. I’m certain that I did.AkiraKurosawaAkira Kurosawa, 1910-98, filmmaker

Personally I’m voting for Bob Barr. I’m a huge fan of limited government and really wish the country would realize that we do not need the government to run every aspect of our lives. Life was better in this country before the Government started to run every aspect of it. The Republicans used to favor limited “small” government but as of late they do not show that any longer. Barr, and the Libertarian Party, want to get the government back out of our lives and let us run our own lives again. I’m all for that.
Libertarian in ‘08… we’ll see what the future holds after that.

Well I recently became a fan of Peter Schiff, who I later found out was an economic advisor to Ron Paul. Go figure. He basically predicted the housing collapse and its ultimate effect on the stock market and credit market. He even went on to say that the govt may even try to step in with tax payer dollars and bail out failing companies.
Of course he was laughed at during interviews years ago when he mentioned all of this during news interviews. Now that it has all come true, they say he “predicted” all this. He admits he can’t predict the future, he just studies history and sound monetary systems.
I dont know what the hell this country is doing voting for obama and mccain. I spoke to a registered republican today here in Los Angeles, and he doesn’t like either candidate…but he says he prefers republican (mccain). Sad times indeed.
I dont have many people I am a huge “fan” of, but Peter Schiff just increased that +1

Definitely going with Bobb Barr. He and I do not agree on 100% of the issues but there’s undoubtedly a much higher correlation than with the Dems or Repubs.

I vote for Chuck Baldwin. He seems like a good leader.
