What is Vokle?

For thousands of years, geographical distance has prevented us from coming together as a people. The internet has, of course, changed this.
From telegraphs to cellphones; photos to motion pictures; text to video; sand to silicon; it is time for the next leap. This November the 5th, Vokle will pair the internet’s freedom of information with live, free, browser-based, video communication so that we can progress forward into an uncharted future. A future where distance and latency can be exchanged for proximity and immediacy. Where text and silence can be substituted by sight and sound. Where we can free ourselves from the content and credos of 6 corporations that own the airwaves and manipulate public opinion.
A future where we decide what we want to read and what we’d like to think. To share our thoughts with each other with a click of a button.
To speak. To be vocal. To live unmuted.
Looking forward to keeping everyone updated with our progress!

Thats an interesting link in the post. I never knew so many channels were owned by so few companies, and I also understand why Showtime sucks so bad now; it’s owned by CBS. Now that just makes sense.
